281GDFJP-G8RS Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GDFJP-G8RS or 281GDFJPG8RS, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series builds on the 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and 80% thicker steel discs in the clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at pump mounting, and the Positive Stop design for driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
