The Chelsea 281GDFJW-D5RS or 281GDFJWD5RS is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted, hot-shift Power Take-Off designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, most commonly Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load. The clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than its predecessor to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed needs, and a Wet Spline Lubrication option can extend shaft life 7 to 10 times over standard. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart are available to protect driven equipment and reduce shock load at engagement. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
