281GDKVP-B8RF Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off 281GDKVP-B8RF or 281GDKVPB8RF is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. This unit delivers a single continuous duty torque rating and offers nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues, and the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage during coupling. Optional Wet Spline Lubrication extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
