The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GDKVP-B8RK or 281GDKVPB8RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series upgrades the bearing cap to ductile iron rated 117% stronger than gray iron, adds an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and increases clutch pack steel disc thickness by 80% to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues, and a Wet Spline Lubrication option provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications.
