281GGFJP-G5RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-G5RY or 281GGFJPG5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt automatic transmissions, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and delivers up to 74 HP at 1,000 RPM. Nine available speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The 281 Series improves on the 280 Series with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring seal between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc design to resist premature tooth wear. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO and DIN flange configurations, and driveline outputs. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is available for equipment protection.
