281GGFJW-B3RF Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJW-B3RF or 281GGFJWB3RF, is a hydraulically shifted PowerShift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 brings a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a Positive Stop for driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart round out the protection features.
