281GGKVP-D5XD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGKVP-D5XD or 281GGKVPD5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It is an evolution of the 280 Series platform, carrying upgrades that address the vibrational demands of modern engine designs. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the clutch pack features steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design to resist premature tooth wear. An o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 flanges, and driveline configurations. The wet spline lubrication option provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
