281GGKVP-B8RF Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGKVP-B8RF or 281GGKVPB8RF, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is a direct evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, bringing a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous generation. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high range requirements. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a Positive Stop on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage from coupling contact. A Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times over standard configurations. SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
