Chelsea part number 281GGKVP-G3RS or 281GGKVPG3RS is a 281 Series Power Take-Off assembly, hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) and designed for continuous-duty operation on automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series platform. Upgrades include a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% increase in clutch pack disc thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump interference, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
