The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-B3XD or 281GKFJPB3XD, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt aperture automatic transmissions, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed output needs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
