281GKFJS-D5AC Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281GKFJS-D5AC or 281GKFJSD5AC is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted hot-shift power take-off designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It carries a single continuous-duty torque rating and offers nine speed ratios spanning low and high speeds. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap used in the predecessor 280 Series, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists vibrational effects from modern engine designs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at pump clearance, and the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage from coupling contact. The 281 Series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series PTO. Clutch pack steel discs were increased 80% in thickness compared to the 280 Series, improving resistance to premature tooth wear.
