The Chelsea 281GMFJP-G3XD or 281GMFJPG3XD is a 281 Series PowerShift (hydraulic) power take-off built for Allison automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture. It is rated for continuous-duty operation and offers nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists the vibrational effects of modern engine designs. The clutch pack features 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference, and a Wet Spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects downstream driven equipment.
