The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJR-B3XV or 281GMFJRB3XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, carrying a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and output power of 56+ HP. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists vibration from modern engine designs. The clutch pack steel discs are 80% thicker to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference.
