The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJW-H3RY or 281GMFJWH3RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. An evolution of the proven 280 Series, the 281 Series incorporates a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed requirements. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a Wet Spline Lubrication option is available to extend shaft service life 7 to 10 times.
