The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XMAJX-P3RZ or 282XMAJXP3RZ, is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot-shift PTO with pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key, rated for intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range and continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (check application pages for actual torque ratings). Shaft power output is 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 282 Series is compatible with Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other transmission manufacturers. The pressure-lube (P) designation and wet-spline (W) option support extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Typical applications include aerial equipment, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery trucks.
