The Chelsea 282 Series power take-off assembly, part number 282XPAJX-V3BV or 282XPAJXV3BV, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO built for demanding continuous-duty cycles. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation, with an integral air valve included. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key drive. Shaft power output reaches 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm); continuous torque reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) - check application pages for actual ratings for your installation. Compatible transmissions include Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and select others. Common applications include aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery.
