The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off, part number 288GDFJP-M5XV or 288GDFJPM5XV, is a heavy-duty constant mesh PTO built for 10-bolt applications. Built on the Chelsea 281 Series platform, the 288 Series delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with wider gears and larger-capacity bearings compared to its predecessor. The cast iron housing and ductile iron bearing caps, 117% stronger than gray iron, address the vibrational stresses of modern engine designs. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed requirements. The standard output shaft includes a positive stop for driveline outputs, eliminating oil seal damage from shaft coupling contact.
