The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 288GDFJP-M5RS or 288GDFJPM5RS, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on Chelsea's proven 281 Series platform. Wider gears and larger-capacity bearings support a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft. The cast iron housing features ductile iron bearing caps rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and rotatable cast-iron flanges that reduce interference issues. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. The standard output shaft includes a positive stop for driveline outputs, preventing oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Wet Spline lubrication is available, delivering 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. The 288 Series replaces Chelsea's 287 Series PTO. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
