The Chelsea 288GGFJP-M5RS or 288GGFJPM5RS is a heavy-duty, constant mesh power take-off from the Chelsea 288 Series, designed for 10-bolt mounting applications. Built on the 281 Series platform, the 288 Series delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with nine speed ratios spanning both low and high ranges. The cast iron housing and ductile iron bearing caps, rated 117% stronger than gray iron, address the vibrational stresses common in modern engine designs. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load. The output shaft features a positive stop for driveline outputs to prevent oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Wet Spline lubrication is available, extending pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
