The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 288GGFJP-M3XV or 288GGFJPM3XV, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. The 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with wider gears and larger-capacity bearings than its predecessor. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibration effects while improving clamp load. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. The standard output shaft features a positive stop design that eliminates oil seal damage from shaft couplings, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
