The Chelsea 288GMFJP-M5RF or 288GMFJPM5RF is a 10-bolt, constant mesh Power Take-Off assembly from Chelsea's heavy-duty 288 Series. Built on the 281 Series platform, the 288 Series delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft through wider gears and larger-capacity bearings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than the gray iron caps used in earlier designs. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibration-induced clamp loss. The rotatable cast-iron flanges minimize interference clearance issues. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications, and the standard output shaft includes a positive-stop feature that prevents oil seal damage from shaft couplings.
