The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GHAHX-A3XY or 489GHAHXA3XY, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built around a one-piece cast iron housing that mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton/Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manual transmissions. The integral 8-bolt housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. A genuine Chelsea part, available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
