The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GHAHX-A5AF or 489GHAHXA5AF, mounts directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings from Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manufacturers. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on older designs, removing a potential leak path while delivering the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series. Shift actuation is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with keyway. At 500 RPM the unit produces 24 HP; at 1000 RPM it produces 48 HP. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. The kit-style design and shared internal parts with the 442 Series simplify service.
