The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GHITX-V3RA or 489GHITXV3RA, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to manual transmissions from Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers with an 8-bolt aperture. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series runs 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
