The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFITX-A5RA or 489XFITXA5RA, fits most manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting opening, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating a common leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (check application pages for actual torque ratings). Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for increased load capacity, and internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
