The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLAHX-P3AF or 489XLAHXP3AF, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built around a one-piece cast iron housing that bolts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening. The integral housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths and cutting installation time. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with keyway, and the unit is pressure-lubricated (P designation). Tapered output bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity.
