The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate used on some earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft for the 489 Series.
