The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XREVX-W5RB or 489XREVXW5RB, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The 489 Series delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load capacity. Internal parts share commonality with the 442 Series, keeping service parts familiar.
