The Chelsea 489XRITX-A3GK or 489XRITXA3GK is an 8-bolt power take-off assembly from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed for use with Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manual transmissions that share the 8-bolt PTO aperture. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for increased load capacity, and internal parts are common with the Chelsea 442 Series.
