The Chelsea 489ZHDAX-A5XQ or 489ZHDAXA5XQ is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting opening, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and other compatible units. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission face, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option also available in the 489 Series. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
