The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZQDAX-A4XD or 489ZQDAXA4XD, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path and reducing installation time. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard for this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option also available in the 489 Series. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft, and intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm). Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
