The Chelsea 871 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 871XAFJP-B3RS or 871XAFJPB3RS, is a compact 10-bolt PowerShift (hydraulic) PTO designed for Allison transmissions. The series delivers continuous torque capacity up to 670 lb-ft (908 N-m) with no derating required for continuous duty. Nine speed ratios and thirteen output options give this unit a wide application range covering fire and rescue, truck cranes, pumper cleaner trucks, and refuse vehicles. A ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap resist the vibrational stress of modern engine designs. The 871 Series supersedes the Chelsea 870 Series and is the only Chelsea PTO to combine Wet Spline, SmartStart, and Quiet Gear options in a single platform.
