The Chelsea 871 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 871XEFJP-D5AB or 871XEFJPD5AB, is a 10-bolt, PowerShift (hydraulic) PTO designed for Allison transmission applications. The series delivers continuous torque up to 670 lb-ft (908 N-m) with no derating required for continuous-duty use. Nine speed ratios and thirteen output options provide broad application coverage across fire and rescue, truck crane, pumper cleaner, and refuse truck platforms. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related wear. Wet Spline lubrication, SmartStart, and Quiet Gear options are available on this series. The 871 Series replaces the Chelsea 870 Series PTO.
