The Chelsea 878LAFJW-M3TS or 878LAFJWM3TS is a constant-mesh power take-off assembly from the 878 Series, built to fit Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series improves on the 877 Series design with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load. Rotatable, cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and driveline outputs incorporate a positive-stop feature that eliminates oil seal damage at the coupling. The wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times compared to unlubricated configurations. Ten speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications, and a hose is included with the assembly. The cast iron housing is rated for continuous duty operation.
