The Chelsea 878LAFJW-M5TY or 878LAFJWM5TY is a constant-mesh power take-off assembly from Chelsea's 878 Series, designed to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series improves on the 877 Series with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load, and steel clutch disc thickness increased by 80%. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues, and the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage from coupling contact.
