The Chelsea 878XFFJW-M5RS or 878XFFJWM5RS is a constant mesh Power Take-Off assembly built for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmission applications. Part of Chelsea's 878 Series, it carries the series' 670 lb-ft continuous duty torque rating, the highest torque output in the smallest package in its class. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibration damage. The design supports nine speed ratios covering both low and high speed ranges, and rotatable cast iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues. A Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft service life by 7 to 10 times compared to standard lubrication. Hydraulic hose is included.
