The Fabco 732-0333 or 732333 oil seal measures 3.500 x 5.000 x 0.468 in and is listed in the factory parts lists for the Fabco TC 140, TC 141, TC 142, TC 1421, TC 143, TC 170, TC 170-PD and TC 1702 transfer cases. The TC 140 and TC 141 lists call it the rear output seal. In the TC 142 and TC 1421 it is the input, front and PTO output seal, three per assembly, and the TC 143 uses two per assembly.
It rides on a rotating shaft or yoke neck to hold gear oil in the case while the sealing lip keeps road dirt and water out. Oil weeping at the shaft or a wet, grimy housing is the usual sign a seal is due, and a seal left leaking lets the oil level drop and starves the bearings and gears.
