The Muncie 8405A-08-A3PX or 8405A08A3PX is an 8405A Series power take-off built with a ductile iron housing and an integral 8-bolt mounting pad for a rigid, vibration-resistant installation. The integral air shift engages the PTO without external shift hardware. Pump mounting accepts an SAE "B" or SAE "B-B" 2- or 4-bolt flange, with an optional 1-1/4 in. output shaft. At speed ratio 08, this unit delivers 44 HP and 230 ft-lb intermittent torque (312 Nm) at 1,000 RPM, with 161 ft-lb continuous torque (218 Nm). A drain port and inspection port for backlash adjustment are built in. This unit covers three popular speed ratios also found on the TG8S-U6807, 08, and 09 PTOs.
