The Muncie 8405A-09-P3PX (also referenced as 8405A09P3PX) is an 8405 Series power take-off built around a ductile iron housing and an integral 8-bolt mounting pad for a rigid, vibration-resistant installation. The integral air shift engages cleanly without external shift components. The pump mounting flange accepts SAE "B" or SAE "B-B" configurations in 2- or 4-bolt patterns, with an optional 1-1/4" output shaft. At speed ratio 09, this unit delivers 39 intermittent HP at 1,000 RPM and 205 ft. lb. intermittent torque (278 NM), with a continuous torque rating of 144 ft. lb. (195 NM). An inspection port simplifies backlash adjustment at service intervals.
