The Muncie CS8S-U6812-E3KD or CS8SU6812E3KD is a CS8 Series 8-bolt clutch-shift power take-off designed to fit a wide range of automatic and manual transmissions, including the Allison 1000/2000 series. It covers 19 transmission input gear configurations and provides three remote-mount output shaft options in both keyed and flange types for flexible pump drive installations. Direct-mount pump flanges are available in SAE "A", "B", and "BB" as well as DIN 5462 patterns, and those flanges rotate to help position the pump for maximum clearance in tight installations. Muncie's patented drag brake prevents output shaft rotation when the PTO is disengaged. An optional pulse generator supports System Protection Device shaft-speed monitoring.
