The Muncie SH8B-U6809-A12X or SH8BU6809A12X is an SH Series air-shift power take-off built for high-torque applications, positioned between the Muncie TG and 82 Series in the product lineup. The 8-bolt cast iron housing simplifies mounting and delivers structural strength. The integral air shift design keeps the air cylinder enclosed, eliminating the exposed hardware common on other designs. Five speed ratios cover a range of output needs, and 17 available input gear sets provide compatibility across the most popular transmission configurations. Twelve output shaft options accommodate most common hydraulic pump types. Intermittent torque ratings reach up to 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) depending on the speed ratio selected, at 76 hp (57 kW) intermittent at 1,000 RPM.
