Our parts manual lists it as item B-10 in the mainshaft output group, one per assembly, in the Spicer Transmission 5952-A, 5952-C, 5952-D, 5952-E, CM5552-A, CM5552-B, CM5552-C and CM5552-D, and it is carried in more units than those. A synchronizer matches gear speed to shaft speed before the sleeve engages, which is what lets a shift go through without clash.
