The Chelsea 282XSDAX-A5RY is a medium-duty hot shift power take-off unit from the Chelsea 282 Series. Built on an 8-bolt mounting pattern, this PTO supports pneumatic or hydraulic (PowerShift) shift operation and is rated for intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. The 282 Series delivers up to 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and covers nine speed ratios across eighteen shift configurations. Rotatable flanges and an integral air valve are standard series features. The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining the 238 Series with updated components rated for up to 300 lb-ft continuous or intermittent. Direct mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option supports high-torque startup applications.
