The Chelsea 288GCFJP-M8RF is a 288 Series heavy-duty constant mesh power take-off built for 10-bolt transmission applications. The 288 Series rides on a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than the gray iron caps used in predecessor designs, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related wear. The round output shaft (1-1/4" key) features a positive stop for driveline outputs, eliminating oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Wet spline lubrication is available on the 288 platform, extending pump shaft life significantly. The 288 Series replaces the earlier Chelsea 287 Series.
