The Chelsea 288GCFJP-M3RF is a 288 Series Heavy Duty Constant Mesh Power Take-Off built on the proven 281 Series platform. This 10-bolt PTO carries a continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft and is engineered for demanding applications including refuse, vacuum, aerial, and snow and ice equipment. The 288 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and a positive stop on driveline outputs that protects oil seals from coupling damage. The round output shaft (1-inch, 1/4-inch key) pairs with nine available speed ratios. Wet Spline lubrication technology is incorporated to extend pump shaft life. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.

Additional Information

The 288 Series replaces the Chelsea 287 Series PTO. Key engineering improvements over the 287 Series include ductile iron bearing caps (117% stronger), an o-ring sealing configuration to reduce vibrational effects from modern engine designs, and rotatable cast iron flanges that reduce interference clearance issues. A hose is included with the unit. Parker reference documents for this series include the 281/288 Series Parts List (HY25-2281-M1/US) and the 267/281/288/871/878 Series Owner's Manual.
