The Chelsea 288GCFJW-M8RZ is a 10-bolt, constant mesh Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 288 Series platform. It features a cast iron housing with ductile iron bearing caps, which are 117% stronger than the gray iron caps used in the predecessor 287 Series. A continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft makes this unit suitable for demanding applications including refuse, vacuum, aerial, and snow and ice equipment. The output shaft is a round shaft with a 1-inch, 1/4-inch key configuration and includes a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage from shaft couplings. The 288 Series also incorporates an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load. Wet Spline lubrication is included, delivering a fresh flow of oil through the PTO and pump shaft to extend spline service life.
