The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off, part number 288GGFJP-M5AC or 288GGFJPM5AC, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. It delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with a round shaft output featuring a 1-inch, 1/4-inch key configuration. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The standard output shaft includes a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage from driveline couplings. Wet Spline lubrication is available as an option, providing 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. The 288 Series replaces Chelsea's 287 Series. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
