The Chelsea 272XAITX-A3BD or 272XAITXA3BD is a 272 Series hot shift power take-off built for medium-duty applications. It mounts on a 6-bolt transmission face and uses pneumatic or pneumatic/hydraulic (PowerShift) actuation with an integral air control valve. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" keyway. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent ratings in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. Shaft output power is rated at 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmission manufacturers include Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Ford, Aisin, Volvo/Mack, and RAM, among others.
