The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272XKESX-A3BD or 272XKESXA3BD, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO engineered for medium-duty work truck applications. It mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Ford, Aisin, Volvo/Mack, and RAM platforms. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift actuation is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air control valve included. The 272 Series supports continuous-duty torque up to 300 lb-ft and intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Output power capability reaches 56+ HP. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Direct-mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations can include the Smart-Start option for high-torque startup conditions. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation orientation.
