The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off, part number 272XDAJX-V3RK or 272XDAJXV3RK, is a 6-bolt hot-shift PTO with pneumatic and hydraulic (PowerShift) shift options. It mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Ford, Aisin, and RAM platforms. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm), with continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) -- verify actual torque against application-specific ratings. The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates six earlier PTO series -- the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 -- into a single medium-duty hot-shift platform. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift configurations. Direct-mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations can include the Smart-Start option, designed for high-torque start-up conditions.
